THE LIFE OF
SHEENA CHEUNG

When Sheena was in high school, she founded Free-to-Play to organize a joint school musical performance. Although the performance received good reviews, she felt that she was too ignorant in the performing arts, so she applied to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) to study drama in depth.

After graduating from HKAPA in 2010, she collaborated with different art groups for the next 14 years, and was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in performances or workshops at art festivals in various places: including Japan, Taiwan, France, Russia, Austria, Belgium, India, China, Indonesia, etc. He was invited to the Croatian Children's Theater Festival to meet with the President and the Cultural Affairs Bureau to discuss performing arts.

Traveling between different cultures over the years has always surprised and delighted Sheena. Practicing overseas cultural exchanges has become an important nutrient for Sheena to learn performing arts: 
“doing what she is "suspected" most proficient in in an unfamiliar environment, getting to know and get along with people from different backgrounds and cultures - in this setting, she The habits are clearly visible, and at the same time, you can observe your own uniqueness, learn to think and train from different perspectives. “

The accumulation, digestion, recording, questioning, experimentation, and accumulation of these footprints gradually allowed Sheena to establish her personal attitude towards life, aesthetic touch, and performance methods. Sheena has been obsessed with masks, puppets and clowns for the past ten years. She has put her accumulated experience into practice in Free to Play's works, creating high-quality works that are poetic and closely related to people's livelihood.

During the epidemic, She started to study start-up companies and won three start-up competitions in one year. The projects were all drama-related products.

Starting in 2022, she develops a set of performance teaching methods. She has held "Clown in Absurd" workshops, exhibitions and solo performances in Europe, Hong Kong and Macau. The teachings are mutually beneficial and very popular.

Sheena believes that after discovering your interests and talents, you must continue to study and deepen them. A high degree of concentration and devotion will lead you to a different life.
